Employer Financial Benefits

Employers who sponsor and train apprentices may be eligible for grants to help ease the cost of training. The Achievement Incentive Program may help more employers take on apprentices to build Ontario’s apprenticeship and skilled trades pipeline.

  • Students are motivated and want to be there every day

  • Students are available for a 3-5 month period starting either mid-September and mid-February

  • Have mandatory training like Working at Heights, WHMIS, etc.

  • WSIB is covered by the school board

  • OYAP students are exempt from ratios
