The Skilled Trades Bursary Program provides a bursary in the amount of $1,000 to students who have financial and other barriers to completing the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The nominee will have earned or is earning a minimum of two cooperative education credits in a skilled trades (OYAP) placement and has demonstrated leadership in the skilled trades. Leadership skills demonstrated may include mentorship, participating in a conference/skills competition or sharing experiences to the broader student population. Students in Grade 11 or 12 enrolled in a Skilled Trade OYAP Cooperative Education 2-Credit program qualify for the program. Applications are due by March 1, 2024.
